I used to live down the street from Canave and would literally go every week. Some days they would have a live band! The food never disappoints and the service is always great. My favorite restaurant on dyckman/uptown. This time I got the shrimp mofonguito with a side of rice and beans. The rice and beans are A MUST! I don't know how they get the rice so creamy but it's delicious! The chips are fresh so it's a great start to the meal. My favorite drink is the fuego y agua which is basically a mezcalita. Definitely a must try!

Love the food here especially the Shrimp with cilantro rice and avocado, the mussels appetizer is also yummy. The service can be a little better and the ambience is amazing but overall I would highly recommend!

Had a sunday girls dinner here and for it being my first time, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance is lovely , the staff is very welcoming and as for the service it was top notch. We started with drinks I had a nonalcoholic pina colada , which was perfect. Not to overly sweet and blended with the perfect amount of pineapple and coconut flavor! As for appetizers we had the fresh guacamole with chips and this was very good ! Next we ordered dinner . I had the bbq short rib tacos, we had a side of rice and beans and the mofonguito. Everything was very flavorful and fresh ! I loved that the staff made sure we were happy with our order and came to ask if we needed anything else. All in all we highly enjoyed our dinner and definitely will be back to try a few more things off the menu .

What a great place to eat. I had the short rib tacos - amazing all The flavors hit your mouth at once - then seasoned faddish took the cake. Friends had their nachos, and a chicken dish too they said was amazing. Run punch... on point Waitress - great, patient and nice. Parking I was able to park in front. Left one star because the seating was a bit uncomfortable. Would go again and recommend to anyone.

Ambiance is really nice and the food was delicious I got the bbq tacos and the beef empanadas. They were both really good I'd definitely recommend. The staff are really friendly and attentive. It's a very nice atmosphere this is a great spot and would be a very nice evening date spot.

We enjoyed the ambiance of Canave as well as the food. There was ample indoor and outdoor seating, and the service was friendly and prompt. We ordered the beef empanadas (which normally come as an appetizer) as a main and the BBQ short rib tacos. After trying the empanada, I sort of wished I'd ordered that, too, because it was very good, but my tacos were not bad either. Glad we found this spot while in the neighborhood!

I went here for happy hour. The bbq short ribs are delicious. I also had coconut margaritas which was so good. The food is delicious and serve is great.
